Community Giving Takes Center Stage
Phillips County Community Foundation (PCCF) is gearing up for its annual Match Your Money Month (MYMM) in October, with a goal of raising as much local support as possible to unlock generous matching funds.
Thanks to the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, every dollar donated will be matched up to $50,000 for PCCF’s Unrestricted Endowment and another $50,000 for the Unrestricted Operating Fund. The Patterson Family Foundation has added an additional 50% match up to $100,000, multiplying the impact of every donation.
The 2026 campaign features three community events:
- Wacky Golf – Sunday, October 11, at the Phillipsburg Golf Course
- Trinh’s Famous Egg Rolls – Tuesday, October 13, at the Phillipsburg Farmers Market
- Pre-orders will also available for pickup on October 22 at the Phillips County Fair Building.
- NEW this year Pancakes & Sausages – come enjoy brunch on Sunday, Oct. 25 at the Golden Years Senior Center from 11am to 1pm. The Agra Firemen will be helping us with their rotating pancake griddle, with sausage patties fresh off the grill and all the accompaniments.
Once again this year, PCCF is holding a raffle for a custom-made sign, crafted by Diamond W Custom Machine Works. The 20-inch wide painted metal sign is a Phillipsburg Panther. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Contact any board member to purchase raffle tickets.
Donations for MYMM can be made online at phillipscountycf.org, by mailing a check to PCCF at 205 F Street, Phillipsburg, KS 67761, or by participating in one of the October events.
“Match Month in October always gives us a chance to make every dollar we raise or receive as a donation go farther,” said Executive Director Ron Boeve. “Together, we can secure funds that will benefit Phillips County for generations.”
