A blessed community!

Phillips County is blessed with generous donors, a fact that was clearly on display at Tuesday evening’s Hospice Fun-d Dinner & Auction. It was a joyful event in support of a remarkable organization that provides comfort and care to so many families during life’s most difficult end-of-life moments.

That same spirit of generosity extends to the Phillips County Community Foundation as well. During the evening, a Donor Advised Fund holder directed Foundation staff to bid on any item of their choosing—and, after winning, to donate the item right back to Hospice so it could be auctioned again. A simple yet powerful example of giving that continues to give.

This particular fund quietly supports many acts of generosity throughout the year, often without public recognition. It was created in honor of a man who deeply loved his hometown and wanted to ensure its long-term strength and vitality, even beyond his lifetime.

What a wonderful legacy to leave behind!
